Advanced Bellows has the capability of producing a wide range of custom bellows for many industries. ABI was founded in 2009 by Ron Smith and Tim Felshaw, who brought together their combined 60 years of experience in bellows and manufacturing to ensure the best possible deliverables for their customers. ABI is dedicated to achieving a level of customer satisfaction that is greater than our competitors. ABI strives to ensure that close tolerance parts ( ± .005”) are print and delivered on time due to our lean manufacturing practices.

Meet the Partners
Ron and Tim joined forces in the fall of 2009 and decided to manufacture bellows, opening Advanced Bellows, Inc. on January 1, 2010.
Ron Smith
Ron Smith started in the bellows manufacturing business at the age of 17, learning the business from the bottom up. Ron began working full time manufacturing bellows after high school. He became Shop Foreman, then Production Manager, gaining knowledge of bellows manufacturing from blueprint to final inspection and customer delivery.
As Assistant General Manager he was involved in design, material purchasing, job costing, production and sales. When he became General Manager, he implemented higher quality standards and cost saving procedures. Ron brings 35 years of bellows manufacturing experience to Advanced Bellows, Inc.
Tim Felshaw
Tim Felshaw is a 21 year Navy veteran. During his naval career he gained valuable knowledge in all aspects of aircraft maintenance and quality control, becoming All-Systems Quality Inspector and Supervisor. Tim also earned his FAA A & P License.
Upon his retirement from the Navy, Tim became Quality Manager for a successful designer and manufacturer of electronic power supplies, where he gained knowledge of the commercial manufacturing and production business. He attended Cal State University Northridge for studies in Lean Manufacturing. Tim has successfully implemented Lean practices for efficiency and cost savings, and has also owned and managed a successful small retail business.
